Internship Announcement

The Cultural Preservation Department is pleased to announce internship opportunities focused on projects related to Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK). Interns will be selected to support work in the following areas:

  • Forest and land management
  • Public outreach
  • Aquatics and fisheries
  • Native nursery operations
  • Cultural education
  • Plant propagation
 

Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting TEK-related initiatives, working closely with department staff, and contributing to projects that support cultural preservation and natural resource stewardship.

Tribal Historic Preservation Advisory Committee Member

The Tribal Historic Preservation Advisory Committee Member provides cultural guidance and advisory support to ensure Tribal programs, projects, and decisions align with Wilton Rancheria’s traditions, values, and cultural protocols. This role supports historic preservation efforts, tribal consultations, cultural resource protection, and culturally informed decision-making through quarterly meetings and special sessions as needed. A stipend is provided for this two-year appointment.

Purpose of Solicitation

Wilton Rancheria seeks to contract with qualified consultant (California JD or California License Attorney) with expertise in Tribal law, Tribal justice systems, and law enforcement development to draft and finalize a comprehensive Tribal Code of Enforcement. This code will support the establishment of Tribal law Enforcement Department and be suitable for formal consideration by Tribal Council and Tribal Court.
