Department of Social Services

Our Vision

The Vision of the Department of Social Services is to foster a strong, healthy, and thriving Tribal community where every member and family is safe, supported, and empowered. We are committed to protecting the well-being of Tribal members through services that reflect and honor the Tribe’s inherent culture, traditions, customs, values, and sovereignty.

We envision a future in which Tribal members have access to compassionate, culturally responsive resource that promote healing, resilience, self-sufficiency, and lifelong well-being. By working closely with individuals and families, we strive to strengthen family connections, preserve cultural identity, and create opportunities for personal and collective growth.

Through collaboration, advocacy, and community engagement, we seek to build a foundation of trust and support that addresses the unique needs of our members while protecting their rights, dignity, and safety. Guided by the Tribe’s traditions and values, we are dedicated to ensuring that present and future generations flourish in a community rooted in cultural pride, unity, and wellness.

Our Purpose

At Wilton Rancheria, we believe that caring for our members is a sacred trust and a shared responsibility. Our mission is to protect, support, and empower Tribal members and families by ensuring that every individual who seeks assistance is welcomed into a safe, supportive, and culturally affirming environment where they can heal, grow, and thrive.

We are committed to preserving the well-being of our members while honoring their connections to family, community, culture, and Tribal identity. We recognize that strong families are the foundation of a healthy and resilient Tribe, and we strive to strengthen family unity through compassionate, family-centered services, culturally informed support, and community-based resources.

Our programs are dedicated to safeguarding the rights, safety, and welfare of Tribal members while providing services that promote healing, self-sufficiency, and long-term stability. We work to ensure that members remain connected to their heritage, traditions, language, and community, fostering a sense of belonging, cultural pride, and personal empowerment.

Through collaboration with county, state, federal, and Tribal partners, we provide comprehensive, high-quality services that address the unique needs of Tribal members and families. We advocate for culturally responsive practices and support Native foster and kinship caregivers, survivors of domestic violence, victims of crime, elders, youth, and families facing life’s challenges. Our goal is to create pathways to safety, wellness, and opportunity while honoring the values, traditions, and sovereignty of Wilton Rancheria.

Guided by respect, compassion, cultural integrity, and a commitment to community, we are dedicated to building a future in which every Tribal member feels safe, supported, connected and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
