Good day fellow General Council members,
We hope this message finds each of you and your family members well. This note follows up with what was highlighted in the recent tribal newsletter regarding the “Resiliency Kits” being offered on behalf of Wilton Rancheria’s Tribal Health Program. This opportunity is a direct result of the Indian Health Services (I.H.S.) Emergency Funds released to our tribal community to directly support our efforts in the “Prevention, Preparation, and Response,” to COVID19.
As tribal members with families, we understand all too well the effects of what this virus has caused to not only our individual health and wellness, but to the collective health & wellness of our families and of the community. It is our goal to support your efforts in maintaining “wellness” during this pandemic. While many of you have transitioned from parents to teachers, cooks, counselors, and friends to your children, we want to provide as many projects as possible for your family’s engagement besides the usual TV and eating time. As well, we want to support your efforts in maintaining the safety of your household.
The activity kits were put together with much thought and intention to serve as “starter” kits for the various projects you may have in store for your family. We are excited to get these out. Please see below the details on picking them up.
Eligibility: All enrolled Wilton Rancheria Adult Tribal Members, 18 years and over, will be eligible to pick up the kits at a designated date and time. If you, the adult tribal member, are unable to pick-up on the designated date/time, you may give permission for another person to pick up on your behalf.
Dates of Distribution: Dates are set forth as scheduled but subject to change, pending COVID19 county-wide response efforts. Pick-ups are done in person at the Wilton Rancheria Tribal Office. Valid tribal ID’s and/or State issued ID’s are required by ALL persons picking up. No exceptions. As well, properly fitted and worn masks are required while picking up the materials.
Adult Tribal Member Pick-up: Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 10:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Designated alternate pick-up person: Friday, August 21, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Since all kits will need to be picked up by August 31, 2020, there may be an additional “pick-up” date provided.
Process of signing up: All persons will complete the survey found in the link provided below and complete the request as desired. All requests will be accepted through August 31, 2020. No further requests will be entertained, thereafter.
