Mission Statement:

The Department of Education shall promote the academic excellence of the Tribe.  It is our belief that increasing the educational opportunities of our individual Tribal members will benefit the future well-being of our Tribe as a whole. Programs Currently Offered:  

Higher Education Scholarship Program:

This program’s aim is to promote and emphasize our Tribal value of higher education.   Our objective is to provide additional financial assistance to Tribal members attending graduate school programs, universities, colleges, and community colleges.  The purpose is to promote access to higher education opportunities and help our Tribal members achieve their educational goals.  For a description of the program’s policies and procedures, please download the information below or contact the Department of Education. Click Here and Apply Now!!!

Adult Education Assistance Program: 

This program’s aim is to promote and emphasize our Tribal value of educational advancement for adult members of our Tribe who may not have had access to these opportunities in their youth.  Our objective is to provide additional financial assistance to adult Tribal members attempting to attain their High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate of High School Proficiency.  The purpose is to increase access to educational opportunities and help our Tribal members achieve their educational goals.  For a description of the program’s policies and procedures, please download the information below or contact the Department of Education.   Click Here and Apply Now!!!

Trade/Vocational Assistance Program:

This program’s aim is to promote and emphasize our Tribal value of employment advancement for adult members of our Tribe.   Our objective is to provide additional financial assistance to adult Tribal members attempting to attain their education in specific skilled trades (e.g. mechanics school, nursing programs, cosmetology, massage therapy, etc.).  The purpose is to increase access to employment opportunities and help our Tribal members achieve their occupational goals.  For a description of the program’s policies and procedures, please download the information below or contact the Department of Education.   Click Here and Apply Now!!!

Educational Planning Assistance: 

This program’s aim is to promote and emphasize our Tribal value of continued educational development.  Our objective is to provide help to Tribal members who wish to continue their education, but would like assistance in developing a plan for how to attain their goals.  The purpose is to make Tribal members’ hopes and dreams more attainable by developing a concrete plan for them.  Educational Planning Assistance is provided for high school aged Tribal members in grades 9-12, as well as for adult members.  For Educational Planning Assistance, please schedule an appointment with the Department of Education.   Click Here and Apply Now!!!
